Beck’s Futures 2004 Until Sun 25 Jul. The fifth Beck‘s Futures award returns to the CCA with the shortlisted and winning entries to this annual competition. This year the £24,000 cheque went to London-based Saskia Olde Wolbers for her surreal video installation. loosely based on the true life case of a mentally-ill Frenchman who impersonath a doctor and murdered his family. Scotland‘s entry comes from Hayley Tompkins who paints delicate. abstract marks on lined paper. Other artists include Haluk Akakce. Tonico Lemos Auad. Simon Bedwell. Ergin Cavusoglu. Andrew Cross.
