Yorkshire may not be known for spewing out riff frenzied rockers, but all that is set to change when thisGirl plunder our live stages. The four-piece, fronted by the fantastically named Liam Creamer, released their debut LP Short Strut to the Brassy Front in 2002 to a widely muted response. But word has it that they’re back better than ever with a new record deal and a stunning second effort in Uno, out mid-July. On record the band sound like a snotty, deranged and desperate scream-fuelled sonic explosion somehow bound together by irresistibly catchy melodies, and endless touring has ensured intense performances with a rather magnificent twist.
