KEITH ROWE WITH THE GLASGOW IMPROVISERS’ ORCHESTRA
The Glasgow Improvisers’ Orchestra has made great strides in a very short time since its formation. The GIO has already enjoyed significant collaborations with what must be seen these days as elder statesmen of the free improv scene, Evan Parker. This project will allow them a chance to collaborate with guitarist Keith Rowe, whose weirdly abstracted sonic explorations first came to notice in the pioneering improv ensemble AAM. Rowe will also be heard in Duos for Doris, a collaboration with another former AMM stalwart, pianist John Tilbury, at this venue
