The Arts Development Agency for the Highlands and Islands
H|~Arts is undertaking a two-year pilot project to develop a collaborative online ticketing resource for arts promoters. venues and festivals across northern Scotland. Two new staff members are needed to develop the ticket agency. which will be based in Inverness:
Online Box Office Manager
To manage the pilot project. with responsibility for the day-to-day administration and strategic development of the ticket agency including client liaison and support. financial reporting and reconciliation. and line management of the Sales & Training Manager.
The successful candidate will have proven professional experience of financial control. line management and strategic planning. good communication skills. and a firm grasp of lCT. Past experience of using ticketing software and running a Box Office is preferable.
The appointment is a full-time contract for 2 years, salary £20,800 pa
Sales & Training Manager
To act as the ‘public face' of the ticketing agency. securing clients and sponsorship for the agency. advocating the use of the ticketing system by ticket sellers within communities across the Highlands and Islands. and delivering training on the ticketing system to new and potential users.
The successful candidate will have proven professional experience in sales and/or training. exceptional communication skills. technical competence using the web. and the desrre and ability to travel extensively around Scotland.
The appointment is a part-time contract for 2 years, working for 4 days per week for the first six months and dropping to 2.5 days per week thereafter, salary £17,860 pro rata

Dance Development Officer Hamilton Town House Ref: COM/04/ED/57
The postholder will be responsible for the introduction of a stimulating programme of
dance across SLC to increase participation. attendance & audiences throughout the SLC area. The person must be self motivated & enthusiastic. have a proven track record in dance development. be creative in their approach. have experience of working with community & professional dance organisations. possess fundraising knowledge & project
management skills and be able to deliver quality within a limited budget.
Voluntary Sector Arts Development Officer East Kilbride Arts Centre Ref: COM/04/ED/58
The postholder will be required to research. establish, develop & support a voluntary arts network across SLC to improve and enhance the delivery of voluntary arts programmes & activities throughout SLC geographical area. The person must be self motivated & enthusiastic. have direct experience of working with voluntary arts organisations, have strong partnership working skills, possess fundraising knowledge & project management
skills and be able to deliver results within a limited budget.
In addition. applicants for both posts should have at least 2 years experience working in the arts development field and /or be educated to degree level, possess strong administration. IT & organisational ability. have excellent interpersonal & communication skills and be capable of working on their own initiative as well as becoming an integral member of our arts development team.
£16,728 - $318,887 Interim Grades
The above 2 posts are jointly funded by the Scottish Arts Council National Lottery Fund for three years.
