KATHRYN WILLIAMS
For her latest endeavour, Kathryn Williams has turned away from her own songbook to others‘ for inspiration with an album of covers. The Spread of her choices is comfortineg predictable in places: Jackson Browne, Neil Young, Lee Hazelwood, and pleasantly surprising in others: Nirvana, Ivor Cutler, the Bee Gees. Suffice to say, every song has her own unique, soft focus sheen and these shows - performed as a trio - will bring the frail magic out in any song she tackles. (Mark Robertson)
