Burt MacDonald Quintet with Lol Coxhill The fine quintet led by guitarist George Burt and saxophonist Raymond MacDonald are more often heard on home turf at the western end of the M8, so it is good to see them back in Edinburgh with special guest Lol Coxhill. The soprano saxophonist has been a mainstay of the British free improvisation scene for several decades. and the band push their music into freer directions in their collaboration with him.
