Renfrewshire Arts seeks to appoint an experienced community arts worker to co-ordinate the FPR Community Radio project. The radio project offers local residents an opportunity to access training, learn new skills and to promote local events & news in the area. The project encourages the development of life and learning skills: confidence, articulacy and interpersonal skills.

Supported by the Renfrewshire Arts Team the co-ordinator will work with local residents. schools voluntary organisations and other agencies to plan and deliver two radio broadcasts per year and other associated projects and events. S/he will ensure the highest standards of care for participants, identify and manage sessional staff. manage budgets. apply for funding and monitor project outcomes.

Arts Trainee Post (minority ethnic)

£11,000 full time. one year fixed term contract with 3 month probationary period (note: 1 day per week is spent on personal/career development)

This is a people job requiring community art skills and candidates should have significant experience of working within a variety of community settings in a creative environment.

It is essential to be educated to HND level or have equivalent experience in community arts. It would be advantageous to have some technical knowledge of using studio/radio equipment. The successful applicant will be self motivated and flexible in relation to working hours. Experience in lecturing, community arts and a driving licence is desirable.

Stills is seeking an individual from a Minority Ethnic background to undertake a unique high quality working traineeship. The trainee will be a key team member and will receive training in all areas of Stills' activities and developments. They will have a specific focus on developing Stills“ ability to engage with a diverse range of audi- ences, participants and resource users.
