COLIN STEELE PLAYS KIND OF BLUE

Last year was another very satisfying one for trumpeter Colin Steele, culminating in having his second album, The Journey Home, named album of the year by the jazz magazine Jazz Review. Colin and his partner, Kirsten Douglas, also had a new addition to the family, appropriately named Louis - wonder who inspired that choice? Colin’s explorations in combining jazz with Scottish folk influences have helped him find a distinctive voice in his music, but for these gigs he returns to the inspiration of another of his heroes, Miles Davis.
