A leading Scottish touring theatre company. benchtours has just been awarded 2 years' core funding and we are looking for a full time general manager for the next stage of the company‘s development.
To administrate and manage this touring company, you need to be a dynamic individual who is flexible and self-motivated. You will work in conjunction with the two artistic directOrs as part of a team. Experience of arts‘ administration is essential.

Actors Required
INTER-ACT requires 4 experienced actors for a 5 week TIE production from 23rd Feb 2004 to 26th March 2004. Must be comfortable playing a variety of roles including teenagers.

he Travelling Gallery is a custom built, selfcontained. mobile art gallery. We are looking for volunteers to assist the Travelling Gallery team in bringing the best in contemporary art to schools and communities throughout Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity for those wanting experience in art gallery education work. You must be able to work flexibly, have confident driving skills along with a clean licence. good communication skills and a passion for contemporary art. All volunteers will be subject to a criminal conviction check.

The Scottish Community Foundation is creating a Development Team which will amongst other activities be responsible for the operation and growth of our two major outdoor fundraising events; the State Street Caledonian Challenge (www.caledonianchallengecom ) and the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon (www.lochnessmarathon.com). The Scottish Community Foundation raises funds from a number donors and sporting events to support community groups and locally based charities across Scotland.
State Street Caledonian Challenge
The ‘Cal Chal' challenges corporate and private teams of four to walk 54 miles of the West Highland Way non-stop over a 24 hour period. 2004’s event aims to attract 1.600 walkers and raise over £1 million for the Scottish Community Foundation and the Community Grants programme. The ‘Cal Chal’ has become Scotland's top endurance event is regarded highly amongst companies as an excellent team building event and fundraiser for a huge diversity of Scottish communities. 2004 will see a majOr development of the Extra Challenge — a 10 mile walk specifically designed for people with disabilities and those unable to compete in the longer walk.
Baxters Loch Ness Marathon
The Baxters Loch Ness Marathon has grown considerably over the past two years to become a major feature in the running and charity calendars. 2004 sees the continuation of the highly popular 5k Fun Run and the addition of a 10 k River Ness run. The marathon attracts participants from across the UK and further afield. Runners are encouraged to run for one of five major nominated charities including the Scottish Community Foundation.
We currently have two vacancies within the Development Team:
PRESSOFFICER (Edinburgh) 1 yearparttimepost- 22.5hoursperweek. UptomJXJOpmrata Working closely with the Communications Manager and the Events Manager you will be responsible for implementing the Loch Ness Marathon and Caledonian Challenge public relations strategies. reporting as required to the Communications Manager and the event sponsors and raising the profile of two new events associated with the Marathon and the Challenge.
LOGISTICS OFFICER (Edinburgh) Full time short term post - till July 04. Up to £20,000
The Logistics Officer will be responsible for the planning, organisation and implementation of the Caledonian Challenge which takes place in June 2004. Working closely with the Events Manager and the Events Consultant Director. you will manage the key logistics of the event including implementing all operational procedures. marshal recruitment and briefing. as well as maintaining an event manual including crisis management. risk assessment . etc. In addition, some aspects of the post will relate to follow up including debriefing with sponsors
