utherglen Town Hall takes Centre Stage

Rutherglen Town Hall is going through some exciting changes. A whole new look as well as fantastic new facilities will ensure it takes centre stage when extensive refurbishment is complete in summer 2004. Thanks to external funding from Historic Scotland and the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Town Hall will be restored to its former glory and we’re looking for some stars to help ensure the venture gets off to a great start.

As well as providing a new and prestigious venue for large social functions, community eventsvand performances, Rutherglen Town Hall will have meeting space for local community organisations, an arts and crafts programme for all ages, exhibition space and a café/ restaurant area accessible to all visitors to the town centre.

Hamilton Town House in the Spotlight

The Hamilton Town House Complex is having a make-over. The complex which will house Hamilton Central Library, the Town House and Town Hall is being totally renovated and will be unveiled in late April 2004.

The complex, complete with its new look, needs some

shining lights to spring into action to manage and

develop the state-of-the-art facility which includes a

library with e-learning facilities, a brand new performance

venue, arts facilities, wedding/ conference/ banqueting facilities and extensive community amenities.

This proiect was funded by grant assistance from the Scottish Arts Council, the Heritage Lottery Fund, Historic Scotland, the Community Safety Partnership and the Childcare Partnership. '

So if you think you’ve got what it takes to ensure these venues

are all singing, all dancing in their new glory then contact us
