We require an experienced marketing professional to successfully plan and implement effective marketing and audience development strategies for events and activities co-ordinated by Arts and Cultural Services. You will contribute significantly to the strategic development of Howden Park Centre as West Lothian’s principal arts venue. You should have a degree with an appropriate marketing qualification and at least two years experience of marketing within an arts environment with the ability to develop a marketing strategy and experience of leading marketing campaigns.
A full current driving licence and access to transport would be desirable and a willingness to work flexible hours is essential.

Four posts for 2 days have been part funded by the Scottish Arts Council for a fixed term of two years These part-time positions are available for a minimum of 14.5 hours per week. Salary will be paid on a pro rata basis.
We require a team of part-time Cultural Co-ordinators to assist the Arts Education Co-ordinator develop and implement an effective Arts in Education Strategy for schools in West Lothian. The Cultural Co-ordinators will help to develop a programme of arts based projects for schools and will provide a direct link between the Arts Education Coordinator and schools.
You will have a degree or equivalent qualification in an arts-related field, a knowledge of a wide range of art forms and experience of delivering arts programmes for children and young people.
A willingness to work a flexible work pattern and ability to provide access to own transport is desirable.

A new edition of The List's best-selling annual Eating & Drinking Guide will be published in April 2003. We are now looking for writers with a knowledge of the food and drink scene to join our team which reviews restaurants in Glasgow, Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
We’re often told that this must be the ideal job, but it is harder work than you might think.
You will need to have a flair for sharp, concise prose,
and be thorough and accurate in conducting detailed research. You should be able to write knowledgeably
on food and drink and be familiar with the restaurant
scene in Glasgow or Edinburgh. You will also need to have access to email and the web, be computer literate and be available to submit work to tight deadlines in
January, February and early March 2002.
All reviewing is on a freelance basis, and can normally be fitted around separate full-time work or study.

East Ayrshire Social Inclusion Partnership is inviting artists to submit ideas for a public artwork for the village of Dalmellington. The finished work will celebrate the coalmining history of the area and the active community of Dalmellington. An important part of the design of the work will be community involvement.
Fee for this initial design stage is £4,500.
