SILJE NERGAARD

Silje Nergaard started Out in jazz. jamming with Jaco Pastorius's band as a 16 year old and catching the ear of Pat Metheny in another informal session. She went on to earn something of a reputation as a pop singer and songwriter. but after a four year break from recording from 1996 to concentrate on being a mum. she returned to her first love with a vengeance.

This will be her debut gig in Scotland in a jazz setting. and she will lead her regular trio from Oslo. with Tord Gustavsen on piano. Harald Johnsen on acoustic bass. and Jarle Vespestad on drums. (Kenny Mathieson)
