The Council also recognises the importance of cultural tourism in contributing to the economic development of the City.
The Culture and Leisure Department now wish to appoint an experienced Senior Arts Development Officer to assist with the development and implementation of the city's cultural policy. The postholder should have a degree level qualification or relevant experience and will be involved in the development and implementation of cultural policy. artform strategies as well as the assessment. monitoring and evaluation of grant aided organisations. The successful candidate will have experience of working in an arts based environment and have an excellent track record in project development. management, negotiation skills. consultation and community development initiatives. Experience of managing budgets and monitoring expenditure is essential. as are excellent communication and administrative skills.
Applicants must have the ability to collate and disseminate information. prepare reports for senior management. represent the Council when liaising with funded and non funded organisations. prioritise and organise workload
The postholder must have a sound knowledge and an awareness of funding in the Arts. and knowledge of the needs of the independent and voluntary arts sector. Renfrewshire Arts seeks to appoint an experienced arts worker based at Paisley Town Hall to head up Satellite Theatre Company a performing arts project aimed at young peOple from P6-SZ. The out of school hours project. offers taster sessions. skills workshops and rehearsals in performing arts and other supporting art form.
You will plan and lead creative activities, liaise with partner school and agencies. ensure the highest standards of care for participants, identify and manage sessional staff, manage budgets and continually monitor the success of the project.
Three years experience of managing a performing arts based project for young people, a proven commitment to delivering arts activities within an education environment, self motivation and flexibility are essential.
