The Quest For Camelot: The Arthurian Legend In Art t'ntil Sat 26 Jan. £2.50 (£1 ): fatnily ticket £5: season ticket £4.50. This major exhibition traces the impact of the Arthurian legend on artists throughout the centuries. Divided into three sections. the first examines how the legends have permeated society. The second section looks at the Victorian era when 'I‘ennyson‘s lily/ls ()fT/u‘ King revived the myth. influencing the work of the Pre-Raphaelites. Rossetti and Williatn Morris. The final part concludes with the earliest known literary reference to Arthur. the epic poem )' (;()ll()(/(Ifll. composed by Aneirin in the late 6th century.
