This major exhibition which coincides with the publication of Roland P ’Ill'rM‘t‘.‘ The Friendly .S'urrt'u/r'sl a biography by his sort Antony Penrose. reveals his work as a surrealist artist. exhibition organiser. collector and writer. Penrose was friends with a number of surrealists including lirnst. Miro and Picasso and was respon— sible for the first surrealist exhibition to come to London in 1936.
