Originally from Glasgow. she retains her business headquarters in Edinburgh. with her manufacturing base in Hawick and her flagship retail store in London. Assisted by fellow designer Anthony Sytnonds. Robertson is widely recognised as the modern face of British cashmere.

Designs After wearing an uncom- fortable bra at a party. Michelle Mone started work on developing a bra that would achieve ‘cleavage with comfort'. She set up her own lingerie business. MJM International. in 1996 and following three and a half years of intensive research. Mone launched l'ltimo — the Ultimate Bra. Using silicone gel cushions. the Ultimo adapts to the contours of the body. It has been voted in numerous consumer polls as the most comfortable cleavage enhancing bra.

Name Russell Sage Based London Designs In February of this year. Russell Sage courted financial aid from his sponsor Britannic Money, which generously obliged the Central St Martin’s fashion graduate with £10,000. Sage promptly stitched the bills directly onto his designs. boosting his notoriety while stimulating debate about the value of contemporary design. When he‘s not working in hard currency. Sage uses battered. antique fabrics which he cuts into stunning silhouettes. Although he’s not Scottish. as one of the UK’s most exciting new designers. Russell Sage has the flair and imagination to justify his place among the talent featured within Intervention 2001.
