Mozart wrote his Violin Concert No 4 when he was just nineteen and Mendelssohn was only fifteen when he penned his Symphony No 1. They are joined by granddaddy Haydn, who was in his 405 when he created his Symphony No 49 ‘La Passione', a piece inspired by Easter plainchants.
