Beck's Futures Until Sat 14 Oct. Beck’s Futures is a new annual art prize initiated by Beck’s Bier and the ICA. The winning work Gobstopper by Roderick Buchanan is on show along with work by Chad McCail, Lucy McKenzie, David Shrigley, Martin Boyce, Liz Arnold, Stephen Murphy, Hayley Newman, Cathy Wilkes and Elizabeth Wright.

Art 2000 Until Sat 14 Oct. The biennial art exhibition organised by the Scottish Council of Independent Schools comes to the Collins Gallery for the first time. Featuring fine and applied art works by artists aged between 5 and 17, the show includes furniture, sculpture, textile art, ceramics, photography, print, drawing and painting.

Anna Lobner - Elm's End Until Fri 6 Oct. German artist Anna Lobner responds to the fate of Kelvingrove Park's elm trees which have fallen prey to Dutch Elm disease. Stencilling birth and death dates on the stumps of the trees, Lobner creates a series of tombstones.
Bulkhead Prize 2000 Exhibition Sun 8 Oct—Sun 12 Nov. On view in the 24-hour viewing window are samples of the artwork by the shortlisted artists for this year‘s Bulkhead Prize: Justin Carter, Jane Topping, Jess Worrall and Rob Kennedy. For the prize, Justin Carter creates a series of site specific paintings which document the Glasgow's wastelands. The images will then be tailored into suits and Carter will go to various locations — Duke Street, High Street and Princes Street - wearing one of the suits. You can see Jane Topping's Big Store at 254 High Street, which contains the artist‘s own branded goods. In .Ilemorial Imorial sited at Morrisons Gym. 85 Sydney Street, artists Jess Worrall and Rob Kennedy explore notions of violence in a series of video loops. The winner of the prize will be announced on Thu 12 Oct.

Whistler And Holland Thu 19 Oct—Sat 27 Jan (Exhibition Gallery). The Dutch landscape inspired some of Whistler’s finest etchings, as well as watercolours and small oils. His work is shown alongside etchings by Rembrandt, and work by his own contemporaries and followers.
