Five Thousand Days At Sea An exhibition on board the only Clydcbuilt sailing ship still afloat in the UK, documenting her adventures on the high seas between 1897 and 1919.
Story In The Stones (Pumphouse Main Gallery). An exhibition looking at the impact of the industrial ages on Glasgow harbour.
Morse And More (Pumphouse bower Gallery). A hands-on exhibition, aimed at children, looking at the world of communication. You can operate a state-of- the-art optical telegraph used in the Napoleonic wars, try out the five-needle telegraph and crank up World War 11 field telephones.

In the raw: textile artists show new work at the Collins Gallery
Ernesto Neto Until Sun 10 Sep. Brazilian artist Ernesto Neto has created a large-scale translucent sculptural installation for the gallery space which visitors can touch and enter. Along with the spice-filled pods, there is a plasma~ like structure spread across the gallery floor.

Crocks And Pots Until Fri 1 Sep. A display of medieval pottery, discovered during city centre re-development in the 60s
Handbag Until Sun 3 Sep. This touring exhibition looks at the most feminine of modern icons, the handbag. Twenty-five artists and designers have been commissioned to create bags and their contents. Sarah Crawford’s Bag For/1 Day Out is made from latex and plastic, acting as a shrine for treasured mementos; Val Hunt’s Canned Handbag is constructed from recycled lager cans; and Dianne Reade’s Granny By Day, Spy By Night, made from paper pulp reveals its proper function when illuminated.

12 Into 2000 Until Sun 20 Aug. Situated in Falkirk’s historical Callendar Park, The Park Gallery is the latest addition to the growing number of contemporary art spaces in Scotland. The gallery features two dynamic pieces of public art by Glasgow-based artists Lapland who have designed the reception desk and front door of the gallery, and the opening exhibition features the work of twelve artists who explore all aspects of time. Featured artists include Lys Hansen, Julie Law, Thomas Murphy, Garry Wilson, Victoria Hale, Julie Parker and Jacqueline Marr.
