The work of Jo Arksey from Dash Group, Alloa and Day Unit, Clackmannan County Hospital is on show at Project Ability
Cultural Relations, Stuttgart and Berlin, an exhibition of drawings and prints by the German Worspswede group. Renowned for landscapes which represented the late romantic period of their time, the group included Paula Modersohn-Becker whose work was influenced by Cezanne, Van Gogh and Gaughan.

Neal Beggs Glasgow-based artist Neal Beggs Itas created an installation for the entrance corridor space at the venue, consisting of two large blocks of text on the corridor walls. One wall lists the 284 Scottish Munros (mountains over 3000ft) while opposite is a list of the 304 multi- storey tower blocks built in Glasgow between the 1950s and the l970s.

1st International Sand Sculpture Festival Of The UK Until Sun 30 Jul. Artists from Canada, Denmark, England, India, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Russia and Scotland collaborate to create six temporary sand sculptures in the heart of George Square, in the first ever festival of its kind. Organised by Glasgow artists group, Grinneal, who recently created a giant sculpture at the Dick Institute, Kilmarnock, the artists will interpret the theme of gods and goddess.

This exhibition looks at the life and work of Charles Heath Wilson, an architect, designer, illustrator and impresario of the arts. Wilson took up the headship of the Glasgow School ofArt itt 1849 and was a propagandist for Glasgow‘s acquisition of the McLellan Collection and the Gallery. James D. Robertson: A Retrospective View Sat 22 Jul—Fri 1 Sep. (Mackintosh Gallery). A tribute to James Robertson‘s long teaching career at Glasgow School of Art (1959—1998), featuring over 100 paintings.
