The world premiere of Zinnie llarris’ award- winning play which previews at the Tron prior to its performances at this year‘s Edinburgh Fringe and the National Theatre in London. Based on the true-life upheaval of occupants on the British- owned island ofTristan da Cunha. the play follows their re-location to 1960s England, and the culture shock which sent them reeling. Bernard Slade's Californian comedy about a couple who meet up once a year behind their spouses’ backs. Joining them at various points during their lives, the play also gives a timely insight into the changing climate of 1950s, 60s and 70s America.
A Doll's House Thu 3—Sat 5 Aug. 7.30pm. £7—£20 (£1—£17). The Norwegian National Theatre celebrate their 100th anniversary with this classic work by one of their country’s most famous sons. Written in 1879, Ilenrik lbsen’s claustrophobic look at stifled lives is still consistently popular, and this new production manages to stay faithful to the original text whilst adopting a contemporary feel.
