DRAMA WORKERS

You wrll work with a variety of client groups including primary, nursery and seCOndary schools. Community groups and youth theatres thrOugh a variety of drama projects funded by the National Lottery and Local Authorities.

Creating, developing, implementing and evaluating drama projects will be as eaSy as breathing to yOu. You will be an expe- rienced, qualified. enthusiastic team player looking to take up a challenging, rewarding and fun post in a great working environment.

EDUCATION 8: OUTREACH DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

You will be an extraordinary individual totally committed to making theatre and drama as accessible as possible to as many people as possible. You will have the experience and the ability to continue to develop, implement and contribute to Borderline's audience development programme, youth theatres. young persons towing productions and main house t0uring productions funded th0ugh National Lottery New Directions and SOuth Ayrshire COunCil. The following artists are required for freelance contracts beginning early September 2000 to ending late March 2001.

Drama Worker - Young People

Duration 2.5 days per week for 24 weeks

A drama professional with at least two years experience of developing and delivering high quality projects with young people. In collaboration with a dance artist, the contract holder will work with 10 to 13 year olds within schools, exploring the art form roots of pantomime.

Dance Artist - Young People Duration 2.5 days per week for 24 weeks

A dance professional with at least two years experience of devel0ping and delivering high quality projects with young people. In collaboration with a drama artist, the contract holder with work with 10 to 13 year olds within schools, exploring the art form roots of pantomime.

Drama Worker - Adults with Disabilities

Duration 2.5 days per week for 28 weeks

A drama professional with a strong track record of working creatively with adults with learn- ing and physical disabilities. Based in established day and residential centres, the contract holder will develop and deliver a programme of drama and movement in collaboration with

Drama Worker - Drugs Related Issues

Fee £100 per day Duration part time from October 2000 to March 2001 A drama professional with least two years relevant experience in using the arts as a medium to raise awareness amongst young people of issues relating to the misuse of drugs.

The contract holder will work with a range of frontline agencies in developing and delivering workshops and small projects tailored to the needs of East Ayrshire.
