Open Window Theatre Company present this new work by acclaimed writer Jonathan Harvey (Beautiful 771ing).A young man’s untimely death from AIDS leaves his family and friends struggling to keep his memory alive, through the re-telling of vivid dreams and poignant memories. Oleanna Mon 12—Wed 14 Jun. 7.30pm. £8 (£5). David Mamet’s tale of sexual and social politics between a student and her professor caused a theatrical sensation when it opened at London’s Royal Court in the early 90s, having already taken America by storm. London Classic Theatre Company follow up their past imaginative productions with

another uncompromising work.

Gaun Yersel Moses! Fri 16 Jun. 8pm. £6 (£4). Tom C. White tears apart the Old Testament, re-writing it in Scots verse. From Adam and Eve to Moses, all the main players are there, but not quite as you remember them from school.

Flexible Deadlock follow up last year’s promenade performance of Loves Labours Lost with one of Shakespeare’s bloodiest revenge tragedies. The show begins at dusk and continues into the night, when live dismembering of bodies is promised. Part oft/1e West End Festival.

Olliver! Mon l9—Sat 24 Jun. 7.30pm (Wed & Sat 2.30pm). £6—£16. Another musical extravaganza from the Apollo Players. This time they’ve taken on Lionel Bart’s adaptation of Oliver Twist, featuring the little boy who dared to ask for more.

Passing Places Tue 13—Fri 16 Jun. 7.30pm. £5 (£2.50). Alex and Brian journey from their Motherwell home in search of the picture-postcard Scotland they’d always dreamed of. Instead they encounter nuclear power stations, ruined crofts and some rather unpleasant people in this acclaimed comedy by Stephen Greenhorn.

The sombre mood of the medieval period often used for Romeo And Juliet is replaced by a fresh and vibrant Verona in this new version of the Prokofiev ballet.
