If I Ruled The World Until Sat 20 May. Bryndis Snacbjornsdottir and Ross Sinclair curate and feature in a group show of work by eight Glasgow-based artists. Along with Claire Barclay, Martin Boyce, Roderick Buchanan, Simon Starling, Rose Thomas and Clara Ursitti, the artists travelled to Iceland to create CCA commissioned work for The Living Art Museum in Reykjavik. In this show, the artists produce site—specific works for the gallery space, resulting front their experience of working together in Iceland.
Neal Beggs Glasgow-based artist Neal Beggs has created an installation for the entrance corridor space at the venue, consisting of two large blocks of text on the corridor walls. ()ne wall lists the 284

A major exhibition of young international art from Frankfurt featuring the work of former students of the Academy of Fine Arts Stadelschule. The work, in a range of media, includes painting, sculpture, video, installation and sound/light art.
PULSAR Fri 12 May—Sat 3 Jun. A sound and light installation by Hungarian artist A.T. Kelemen. Using analogue and digital techniques, a feedback system between Kelemen and his kinetic/cybernetic machine reproduces and combines music, noise and light to produce this audio-visual experience. A live performance of PULSAR takes place on Fri 12 May, 6—9pm.
Project Injection Room FFM Sat 13 May—Sat 3 Jun. Research artist and painter Marcus Graf investigates society’s relationship with legal and illegal drugs. Looking at Frankfurt’s Injection Rooms — a place where addicts could inject with clean needles and receive medical advise — Graf has developed work related to these rooms. See Lectures & Events.

Gateways And Landmarks Until Sat 27 May. Gateways and Landmarks is an ongoing public art project taking place in Castlemilk, co-ordinated by the Castlemilk Environmental Trust. The commissioned artists — Rick Kirby, Doug Cocker, Paul Grime, Michael Dan Archer and Kenny Hunter — worked with community groups to produce pieces that will be incorporated into the Public Art works.

Artism 2000 Fri 19 May—Sat 22 Jul. A major exhibition organised by the Scottish Society for Autistic Children in
partnership with Autism Burgos featuring over 134 artworks by autistic children and adults from all over Europe. Showing alongside the exhibition are new artworks created by children who attended a workshop at Glasgow’s Project Ability as well as work by Peter Houston.

On loan from the Filmmuseum Berlin/Marlene Dietrich Collection, a stunning selection of 39 photographs of the legendary diva Marlene Dietrich. Ranging from her childhood to her famous images on film and stage, the exhibition features the work of photographers Horst P. Horst, Cecil Beaton and George Hurrell.

Efforts Of War - The Home Front Until Tue 16 May. An exhibition of lithographs commissioned by the British Ministry of Information in 1918. Featured in the show are work by C.R.W. Nevinson and AS. Hartick, plus contemporary photographs of Clydeside aircraft manufacturers, landgirls and women factory workers.

Kidsize: The Material World Of Childhood Until Sun 4 Jun. £2.50 (£2); free for children under 16. This exhibition organised by the Vitra Design Museum looks at the changing relationships between children and adults, expressed through children’s everyday material environment in societies. An interactive education programme accompanies the show with workshops, specially constructed 3D interactive experience and activities for children.
VK&C — From Egg Boxes To Lamp Shades Until Mon 15 May. Free. This exhibition charts the development of VK&C’s award-winning lighting from its initial development to the end product. The Action Zone Until Sun 14 May. Free. To coincide with the Kidsize exhibition, The Action Zone provides an opportunity for children to design and make their own toys, play games and learn about toys and games from cultures around the world.
Droog Design Fri 12 May—Sun 6 Aug. Free. The internationally acclaimed, Euro design agency, Droog Design has its first major exhibition in the UK. The exhibition consists of objects from nine designers that have worked with Droog. Each of these objects are placed in Glasgow homes, and each householder records a video diary of the usage of the object.
