Set in 1920s Chicago, this feel-good musical charts the unlikely love affair between a Salvation Army officer and a gangland boss.

Fusing the real world with the imagined, the play revolves around a twin sister, haunted by the tragic death of her brother some years earlier.
The Plough And The Stars Tue 23—Fri 26 May. 7.30pm (Thu mat 2.30pm). The RSAMD’s Irish Season draws to a close with final year acting students performing the work of a real theatrical master. Sean O'Casey’s powerful look at the 1916 Iiaster Rising first premiered in Dublin in 1925, but its mix of the personal and the political is still as relevant today.

Gasping We’ve yet to see this Ben Elton comedy, but we can vouch for the strength of the script and the quality of the satire. Take a journey onto the dark side of yuppiedom, and revel in Elton’s sinister humour. Edinburgh: King’s, Mon lS—Sat 20 May.
