Based at the Dick Institute, Kilmarnock you will develop the exhibition, marketing and general promotion of contemporary crafts in the areas covered by North and East Ayrshire Councils. You will have at least three years experience of project management in the visual arts or crafts sectors, combined with sound knowledge of contemporary crafts practice in Britain. ARTS WORKER

SALARY: £11,000-£12,500 Have you creative, artistic or dramatic flair? Would you like to work in a purpose built Creative Arts Centre, providing an imaginative resource of activity based services to a group of young adults with (‘omplex Leaning Disability? You should be able to work independently and be a positive contributor within the existing mull-disciplinary team. You need proven experience of delivery within the Arts to this or similar groups. An ability to combine specialist services, staff support and supervision, alongside meeting the physical and emotional needs of our clients. Openness to absorb new skills, show initiative and react positively to changing needs of a developing service. Working as part of a small team you will be responsible for the administration of our three exhibition areas and artists workshop.
Strong organisational, financial and communication skills; experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); use of the Internet and e-mail are essential. Experience of gallery work and/or knowledge of Fine Art (printmaking) an advantage.
