Featuring The Bobby Hughes Experience playing live, all and sundry in Scotland are getting rather excited by this gig. The Norwegian who released F usa Riot late last summer has created more than a bit of a stir with his jazz funk meets hip hop via a Hammond organ sounds. it’ll be the full band thing, and is easily one of the clubs of the season. With DJ support from Jo Malik (this is his last Lounge by the way, he and Toby are going their separate ways from next fortnight and Eh?Wun!

Otherwise known as Mustang, he’ll be joining the brilliant trio of ressies, Mikey Stirton, Bob Cairns and Scott Rapson.

I Tribal Funktion at The Venue. llpm—3am. £tbc. 6 May only. Time to roll out the Kleenex and the cliches, it’s Tribal’s last ever party tonight. After eight fabulous years, it’s the end of an era (in Scotland’s clubland, at any rate) and they promise to make it one helluva bash. Booting Scratch out for the night - but letting the ressies play - you will find Tribal over three floors. From top to cooler, catch DJ H and the old skool original residents Lyley and Frosty bustin’ a funky move, while George T and Simone will do the house thing in the middle, and Scratch’s Richie and Gino hip hop, you don’t stop in The Cooler. As essential as they get, just so that you can say you were there to your grandkiddies. Which is what it’s all about, really.
