Fresh from a refurbishment and with a grant from the Musicians’ Union in recognition of their live music promotion, things will be picking up down at the Joint. Lizzard Lounge’s Joseph Malik is the man behind the decks.

Kennedy was previously a member of Irish epic roots rockers Energy Orchard and has worked with Steve Earle and Nanci Griffiths. Last year he released an album of Hank Williams covers but now has an album of original material to promote. He worked on Loner Street with Herbie Flowers, the man responsible for the bassline of ‘Walk On The Wild Side’ but also, regrettably, for Clive Dunn’s ‘Grandad’.
