24 Hours 7:84’s new compendium of short plays brings humour and pathos to its social commentary. In a theatre largely afraid of politics on anything but the smallest scale, these plays make a change from the usual run of theatre, with honest reflections on the state of our culture and the marginalisation of many people within it. See review. Greenock: Greenock Arts Centre, Sat 8Apr, then touring.

Clarence Darrow A play which promises to manifest a spirit of liberalism seldom seen in American drama of recent times. Edinburgh: King’s Theatre, until Sat 7 Apr.
