THURSDAY 23 _

Glasgow

I Sting SECC, Finnieston Quay. 287 7777. 6.30pm. £26 plus booking fee. A few tickets left at time of going to press. Another Brit nominee who went away empty-handed (like he cares . . .) whose most recent album was greeted with tentative thumbs up as opposed to the usual outright vilification.

I Gary Moore Barrowland, Gallowgate, 552 4601. 7.30pm. £17.50 plus booking fee. A great favourite of advance air guitar players everywhere owing to his elaborate fretboard virtuosity. Shame he can’t seem to fit a decent tune into the tepid rock mix.
