ROCK/POP Death In Vegas With a live line-up the size of a football team, Death In Vegas reproduce their Cont/no Sessions album with startling skill and force. A bleak, but oddly uplifting experience live, witness Richard Fearless and pals show everyone how to do the death-dub-hip hop-garage-electro skank. Glasgow: Arches Sun 13 Feb.
Creeping Bent Records launch their Bent Boutique — Chasing The Chimera compilation album With the help of Creeping Bent recording stars Vic Godard, Nectarine No.9 and The Bitter Springs. Glasgow: 13th Note Sat 12 Feb.
JAZZ
Nuspirit The opening night of this new monthly event sees an appearance from Victor Davies, a man whose work has been compared to the likes of soul jazz legend Terry Callier. Davies plays a one-off Scottish live show along With 015 in residence Scott Rapson, Bob Cairns and Mikey Stirton. Edinburgh: The Jazz Joint, Sat 5 Feb.

BT Scottish Ensemble The ensemble present a varied programme of mUSlC including works by popular US composer Aaron COpland as well as ’Adagio For Strings' by Samuel Barber and Adam’s 'Shaker Loops'. Glasgow: Royal Concert Hall, Fri 11 Feb; Edinburgh: Queen's Hall, Sat 12 Feb.

The headliners are an energetic Icelandic combo (must be all the fish they eat), now domiciled in London, who embellish their euphoric pop tunes with violin and keyboards. Their new single ‘The Girl With The Sparkling Eyes’ precedes their debut full- length album. Crashland appear to share the same bouncy spirit and share a label with Travis.
