Cornerstone 0 St Silas - A Mini Arts Festival Fri 5-Sun 7 Nov, times vary. Donations £5 (£3). St Silas Episcopal Church, 101 Park Road, 357 1849. Local artists are holding this exhibition which includes live music, poetry reading, storytelling and plays. The festival concludes on Sunday night with an act of worship using images, readings, music and meditation.

What kind of 'motors’ will he on show? There will be everything from race, rallying and touring cars to different types of motorbikes.
Will we not have seen these cars before? Not all of them because some manufacturers will be displaying their new cars and designs for the millennium. Are all the cars new? There will a lot of new cars but there will also be well- known cars such as those driven by David Coulthard and Allan McNish as well as some of the world's greatest racing vehicles.
Sounds a bit boring looking at cars and bikes. You also have the chance to walk the Grand Prix Racing Circuit, experience rally driving in a simulator or try your luck on the 200 feet Scalextrix track.

Glasgow Zoopark

A popular haunt on school trips, Glasgow Zoopark boasts a varied collection of animals, from lions to guinea pigs, as well as a well-stocked reptile house. There is also a full programme of interactive events, such as snake-handling and birds of prey flying displays, plus Children’s Farm, amusements and an orienteering course.

Mugdock Country Park
Craigallan Road, Milngavie, Glasgow, 956 6100. Free. This country park on the north east side of the city has a full programme of ranger activities as wellas numerous woodland paths and walkways.
