Aalco Photographic Exhibition Until Sun 31 Oct. The results of a competition set by Aalco, the UK’s largest multi-metal distributors, in which students at the Fine Art Photographic Department at Glasgow School ofArt were briefed to portray the future in a portfolio of six pictures. The three finalists are Graham Govan, Ida Lindstrom and Ben Tanner.

Following on from the exhibition held at the gallery last year, which involved photography and writing workshops in response to an exhibition of drawings and photographs by Sarajevo orphans, Glasgow school pupils worked with Street Level and playwright Janet Paisley to produce ‘Fortune Tellers’, based on the children’s game of folding paper into the shape of a pyramid which through the movement of fingers reveals different images and text.

Five Thousand Days At Sea Until Sun 30 Apr. Exhibition on board the only Clydebank sailing ship still afloat in the UK documenting her adventures on the high seas between 1897 and 1919. GalGael Until Sun 31 Oct. (Pumphouse Side Gallery). The Galgael Trust, set up by unemployed people, present a 12ft model of a Scottish longship, constructed entirely of recycled materials.
Story In The Stones Until Sun 30 Apr. (Pumphouse Main Gallery). An exhibition looking at the impact of the industrial ages on Glasgow harbour.
