We’re lifting the lid on a collection of paintings, virtually all of which are new and exhibited for the first time in Edinburgh. Working in gloss, Hume has taken flora, fauna and portraits as the starting point for The Dean Gallery’s first Festival exhibition, devoted entirely to the artist who is representing Britain at this year’s Venice Biennale. This abstracted imagery includes a number of paintings that attempt to View the world through the eyes of a bird. You can view
them from 11th August to 17th October. After then they'll be flying south to London for the winter.
