I Tribal Funktion at The Venue. 11pm-4am. £7 (£5). 28 Aug. Fortnightly. One of the capital’s best clubs, when Tribal hits the right note the roof comes off, allowing jackin’ Chicago house to waft down Calton Road. Tonight the residents - George T, Simone and H - man the decks, while the Cooler is given over to local old skool legend Jamie Bing.
I Viva at Club Mercado. 10pm—4am. £10 (£8). 28 Aug. Fortnightly. An end of Festival bash for this glam cabaret kitsch night. Moving from cabaret to disco to house anthems, all and sundry make an effort so you had better, too.

DJs D and Billy will be playing deep house, garage, Latin, jazz and a wee bit of disco house for those in the know.

free of charge. A great opportunity for folk to sample his jazz cooking behind the decks. What will start as a Sunday recovery sesh will progress with the best into a pre- club warm up with soul, jazz and Afro- centric Latin funk.
I Tackno at Club Mercado. 10.30pm-3am- ish. £6 parrots; £5 pirates; £4 members. 29 Aug. Monthly. The theme for this Bank Holiday special is Shipwrecked so don your craziest scarf, cut 03' jeans and, er, what else do pirates wear? You’ll work it out, and no doubt Trendy Wendy will be leading the way with her cheesiest tunes of the sea.
I Taste at The Honeycomb. 11pm—3am. £10 (£6). Weekly. One of Scotland’s strongest clubs, Taste’s last Honeycomb date looks set to be 13 Sep so get down there while you can. Renowned across the land for a sure-fire hands in the air, smiles on the face night each week, make the most of Fisher & Price in the main room with their garage, uplifting and hard house, and Martin Valentine and Stuart Barrie through the back with garage and American house. I Twisted at The Venue. 9pm-5am. £10. 29 Aug only. ‘The Hardcore Underground Presents the Scottish Charities Kosovo Appeal’ — hardcore and the like for one night only. The line up’s massive, over twenty DJs and live PAs over the three rooms. The main room sees ‘Reflextion’ with hardcore, trance, old skool and bouncy techno, the second is ‘The Darkside’ with hardcore techno, gabba and hard trance while ‘The Digital Asylum’ hosts trance, techno, acid and hard house. The line up is too long to fully list here, highlights include a back to back set from Bass Generator and Technotrance and a live PA from The Outcast Clan, DJ sets from Mark EG, M- Zone, Marc Smith, Tom Wilson, Slick & Fusion, Hellfish, Simon Underground, Sass, Smurf, Brainstorm, Euan & Paul and Kev Wright. Loads of extras on the night.
I Vegas at Eden. 10.30pm-late. £8. 29 Aug only. An added date for the Vegas family as the Festival sells out everything that they do. A night of showtunes, cabaret, country and loads in between, from The Fabulous Scott Brothers, Lola Las Vegas & The Vegas Showgirls and the usual residents. Attracting a mixed across the board crowd (read not just eighteen-year- olds), this is one of the capital’s most successful nights, and not a house beat in sight!

One of the best nights in the capital: Plus One and Extra aka The Dynamic Duo manage the decks with a fierce talent - hip hop don’t stop — joined by the MCing magic of Scotland Yard.
