TOONSPEAK YOUNG PEOPLE’S THEATRE PROJECT
Project Leader/director Salary: £18,066 pa. (AP4)
Administrator Salary: £14,943 pa. (AP3)
Based in the north of the city of Glasgow, the Toonspeak Young People’s Theatre Project is a two -year funded project (URBAN and National Lottery New Directions).
The Project Leader postholder will lead our demanding Youth Theatre programme and Youth work activities. The ability to work with volunteers of all ages, both at management committee level and member level, and to liaise with statutory and industry bodies is an essential requirement. Additionally, skills in plannning, leading directing workshops and productions which extensively involve young members are looked for.
The Administrator postholder will be required to provide the Project's support services, and will be fully involved in assisting the work of the young people involved with the project, as well as bringing a technical ability to each post.

The Service Development and Review Section is responsible for monitoring and reviewing the quality of existing Arts, Libraries and Museums Services within North Lanarkshire; and the development of new services. This includes project management, service analysis and review, Best Value planning and monitoring, preparation of external funding applications and administration of the Council's Cultural Grants Scheme.
Based at Stepps, you will work 21 hours per week over Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, however you may be required to work occasional evenings or at weekends.
Educated to degree level and preferably with a qualification in arts management and/or general management, you will have a minimum of 3 years experience at a senior level in the arts field with evidence of a broad knowledge of all aspects of arts provision in a local authority context. In addition an understanding of performance monitoring techniques would be particularly desirable. REF. NLC/CS/CC/001
