So boasts the West End Festival of its opening night bash, and it looks like they might just be right. Cuban and Latin bands Sonora La Calle, Groove Diggers and Drumatic, plus DJ support, come together to cook up some hot grooves for a night of dance mania. Byres Road come alive for a day when buskers, theatre performers, market stalls and cafes spill out onto the pavements and motor traffic will be banned. Live music will be played on the main stage in the Botanic Gardens plus three smaller stages along Byres Road from noon.
