Gay Men’s Project Worker - Argyll and Clyde Band APlll scale point 25. Salary $15,264.00
PHACE west Gay Men's Proiect is the main provrder of COmmunity based HIV prevention work wrth gay and bisex- ual men in the West of Scotland. This is a full time post. funded in the first instance for 10 mOnths only.
The duties Of the post Will he to organise HIV/Sexual Health related events for gay and bisexual men in Argyle & Clyde; to prOVIde training on HIV and Gay Men, Heterosexrsm and the work of PHACE West to Statutory and Voluntary organ. isatIOris; to organise. advertise and promote a group for yOung gay 8. bisexual men in Argyle and Clyde; to organise Outreach work With men who have sex wrth men in Public Sex Envrronnients; to Support the develOpment of targeted health promotion materials for gay and bisexual men; and to produce regular evaluations and reports on all aspects Of the work.
The Successful candidate will need tO have a good under- standing of how HIV affects the gay community, have good interpersonal, cominunic.‘iti0n and report writing skills. and be able to work flexrbly as part of a team.
