Side orders All Bar One

Edinburgh's sparkling new development at Exchange Plaza is playing host to Scotland's first All Bar One. Already a Successful concept south of the border, where they have Over 30 branches, the Edinburgh Site has been spending the last four months preening itself for the public. In common With a lot of new places, All Bar One doesn't fall easily into any one category. Bar, cafe, restaurant and pub are all able labels With the place filling several different functions. Food is available throughout the day and is all prepared on the premises. There's a bit of a school common room feel to All Bar One so appropriater the menus are chalked up on a large blackboard. Unlike school grub the food is all sUitany modish: lime breadcrumbs make an appearance along with gouions of plaice while burgers are ground beef and coriander and come served on ciabatta. At the moment, char grilling, pan frying and searing appear to be the buzz words in the more style-conscious kitchens and all these methods appear on the All Bar One menu. In keeping With their Wish to be as flexible as the customer wants them to be, dishes come in different sizes to please the snacker as well as the dedicated belly- burster.
