MUSEUM OF CHILDHOOD

Children's Art From Bosnia Until Sat 21 Mar. Artists Miriam de Burca and Kate Rodgers travelled to Bosnia with an Edinburgh Direct Aid convoy and worked with children. This is the first showing of their artwork and among the ‘typical childish images' appear disturbing images of war and death.

The Ivy Wu Gallery This permanent gallery features a superb collection of artworks from China. Japan and Korea. with costumes. ceramics. furniture and prints. The Ainu Bear Festival Until Tue 31 Mar. An insight into the lives of the indigenous people who live in Northern Japan. Featured in the exhibition is a unique collection ofAinu costume and decorative objects used during The Bear Festival. in which a bear would be killed as a means of returning him to his spiritual home.
Petrified Garden Until Sun 29 Mar. A series of photo montages by Mark Johnston focusing on stone circles. cairns and other monuments.
WRITERS' MUSEUM
