Rosemary Butcher Dance Company presents this Scottish premiere. which draws inspiration from architecture. design. visual art and music. As part of an ongoing retrospective. this double-bill features Fin Walker and Henry Montes in two duets separated by two decades of dance exploration.
New Moves: Self(ish) - Portrait 1/ Solo M 8- Solo P Fri 27 & Sat 28. 7.30pm/9pm. £8 (£4). British premiere of both shows in this double-bill. Portugal's Ioao Fiadeiro moves convulsively. maintaining his rhythm no matter what the cost to his body. Like a small child he questions everything in this almost narcissistic self-portrait. Belgian artist Annamiri van der Pluijm‘s passionate and mystical Solo M is inspired by the life and work of American dance pioneer Martha Graham. In contrast. Solo P is moving. funny and performed in voluminous skirts. Drawing on court and classical dance. it is inspired by the music of Purcell.
