Side orders Sir John Stirling Maxwell
When the JD Wetherspoon chain opened The COunting House on George Square in Glasgow, city centre drinkers seemed to take to the Wetherspoon's formula like bankers to red braces. Wetherspoon's success is NOW spilling over into the south side of Glasgow With the opening of the Sir John Stirling Maxwell in Shawlands Arcade on Kilmarnock Road. Like all Wetherspoon pubs, the Maxwell runs 0n the founding tenets of cheap beer (£1.35 for a pint of McEwan Export, Deuchars IPA at £1.75), a non- smoking area set aside, no music and cheap, reasonable grub.
