ART ON THE MOVE Sat 22 Nov-Tue 23 Dec. Collins Gallery; University of Strathclyde, 22 Ric mond Street, 552 4400 ext 2682. Mon—Fri 10am-Spm; Sat noon—4pm. At Collins Gallery, the space has been taken over by whirling, buzzing, automated and kinetic artwork by sixteen UK-based artists. The constructions range from simple wooden, hand-operated toys to a solar-powered musical sculpture. The show is supported with activities for schools, but on Sunday 7 December, there is a public workshop for 6—12 year olds, which will introduce the basic principles of automata. All participants will design and complete at least two works to take home. The workshop costs £5 which includes all materials, but booking is essential.
