The List is looking for a Researcher to help compile information of forthcoming events around Scotland. This is a new position in our Information Services department located in our busy Edinburgh office.
We are looking for someone who is fast, accurate and efficient. Strong keyboard skills are essential as is a knowledge of word processing packages. The successful candidate should have an interest in the arts and be able to demonstrate an ability to write in a clear and concise manner. A good knowledge of Scotland and some experience of database packages would be an advantage. Starting salary £9,000 pa.

Inverness Youth Drama Development Worker (2 Posts) Inverness and Easter Ross
(Salary £260 per week) Fixed term contract - January 5th - June 7th 1998 (Possible renewal from September 1998 to June 2000)
Eden Court the premier Arts and Entertainment venue in the Highlands wishes to widen the provision of drama and performance related activities to the youth of the Highland area.
These posts are part of the Starfeis Youth Theatre Arts Development Programme which aims to introduce young people to Drama and Theatre Arts through participation.
This is an opportunity for a confident self-motivated workshop leader with professional drama training to work with students and teachers in schools to enhance aspects of the curriculum. Proven experience of setting up and running Youth Theatre or drama groups in the community will be a definite advantage.
The nature of this post will require the successful applicant to live in the area they serve. A current driving licence and own transport is essential. Hours of work will be 38 per week with an average 22 hours contact with young people. Evening and weekend work will be a requirement of this post

Managers at one of Scotland's busiest and most dynamic arts venues. She/he will be responsible for managing events on the night, managing the box office, front of house staffand all public areas in the building. Events will include theatre, music and club nights as well as some day events. Shifts will include a significant amount of evening and weekend working.
The appointed person will need to have experience of duty management in a similar venue, have excellent organisational skills, be a good team worker and good communicator. An interest in the arts is essential.
