THEATRE TECHNICIAN £12,171 - £13,563
Our Arts and Entertainments section which is responsible for the operation of
activities such as theatre programmes, arts and related festivals are seeking
to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Technician to be responsible
for the day to day technical operation of the Carnegie Hall Theatre and other venues such as the Glen Pavilion as required.
You will liaise with companies regarding productions and advise on technical
details regarding setting up and dismantling of equipment, supervising and
assisting stage staff as necessary, operate and advise on operation of sound and light systems and generally ensure the security and safety of all equipment.
You must be qualified as a Time Served Technician or equivalent, have a
minimum of 6-12 months post qualification experience in the electrical
field within a Theatre environment and be fully conversant in the use of sound and light systems.
Hours of work will include evening and weekend working for which additional payment will be made as appropriate.

(ilasgow Environment Action and Edinburgh Environment Action are projects which look to match the skills of volunteers to the needs of environmental and community action groups. ’olunteers will concentrate on awareness raising activities including outreach and development work. research. office administration and newsletter production.
