God And Mamon Mon 28 Jul—I3 Sep. A three-part exhibition celebrating 50 years of independence in India. The show pays tribute to the 16 million textile master craftsmen and women. Kalamkari focuses on the evolution of Kalamkaris (Persian word for cotton painted with vegetable dyes). Golden Threat/s looks at the grandeur of Royal Indian textiles and Desert Expressions features Nomadic costume and shows a range of historical and contemporary pieces from adult and children‘s costumes to household furnishings and accessories.
