CASTLEMILK ARTIST’S COMMISSIONS
STUC
As part of STUC's centenary celebrations, the Arts and Cultural Development Office is offering a commission to an artist to produce a film or video work about the claimants union, which first developed in Castlemilk. This is a three month commission from mid August until October with the final piece to be shown at the Tramway in November Fee - £2000 + 2500 materials plus video workshop facilities.
TEENAGE FATHERHOOD
As part of Fotofeis lnternational Festival of Photography in Scotland. Unlike the issue of teenage pregnancy there has been little attention paid to adolescent boys who become fathers. This is an opportunity for an artist to explore the relationship between young fathers and their children in any lens based medium. The artist will have access to video or darkroom facilities available at Castlemilk and the work is to be pre- sented in the Fringe Gallery in October. The commission will start at the beginning of August and take place over a two month period.
Fee - £2000 + 22000 materials / installation costs plus darkroom /
video workshop facilities.
