Fox in Doc Hollywood, Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio in This Boy’s Life, and Liam Neeson in Rob Roy. Dropped out of directing 8. Monkey after disagreements over casting.
FUTURE Working with Bruce Willis, Richard Gere and Sidney Poitier on The Jackal, an updating of Frederick Forsyth’s novel The Day Of The Jackal, due for release in America in November.

PAST Born in Glasgow, he worked as a college lecturer, film researcher and with the Scottish Film Council and British Film Institute before becoming script editor on John Byrne’s Tutti Frutti and Screen 2 films Leaving, A Govan Ghost Story and The Dunroamin’ Rising. As" a TV producer, his credits include Your Cheatin’ Heart and The Justice Game. Under his Scottish-based production company Bronco Films, he originated, developed and produced multi- million dollar epic Rob Roy.

PAST Edinburgh-born Oxford graduate who worked as art department assistant on Another Time, Another Place before enrolling at New York University’s Film School. Assrstant editor on Comfort And Joy and The Bride. Produced the Orkney-set drama Venus Peter, which premiered at Cannes, as did his European love story Prague. FUTURE Currently developing four projects as producer — Alien Love Triangle, to be written and directed by Bill Forsyth and two others; Travelling Light, an original screenplay by former Clyde Unity actress Aileen Ritchie; an adaptation of Robin Jenkins’s book Willie H099; and White Merc With Fins, John Hodge’s adaptation of James Hawes's novel, to be directed by Pat Harkins.
