T in the Park update
Already, the fourth T in the Park - to be held at Balado near Kinross on Saturday 12/Sunday 13 July - is shaping up to be a knee-trembler of a weekend. As we announced last issue, the line-up includes chart-busters Kula Shaker and The Charlatans in a spectacular double-header on Saturday's Main Stage while Ocean Colour Scene are confirmed to co- headline on the Sunday. Over on Saturday's NME Stage. Shed Seven and Placebo are leading the charge of the young men with guitars brigade, and recent chart-toppers Mansun and The Seahorses (former Stone Roses guitarist John Squire's new band) will be mounting their own style of sonic blitzkrieg on the same stage on Sunday.
Recently announced additions to the bill include the primal, boogie- drenched riffs of rockers Reef and the swoonsome crooning of suavemeisters Divine Comedy, both of whom will be lighting up the Main Stage on Saturday. Abba tribute fiends 816m Again will be camping it up big style on the Main Stage on Sunday and Texas will woo the faithful with their unique take on soulful smooching on the same day. Over at the Slam Muzik dance tent, clubheads will be chuffed to the soles of their trainers that Carl Cox and Andy Weatherall will be rooting through their record collections on the Sunday and Saturday respectively.
Tickets for the festival cost £50 for the weekend and £28.50 for a single day, subject to booking fees. Tickets are available over the counter from the usual outlets and by credit card on:
