The Mercat Centre is a proposed new Cultural Centre to be based in Dingwall. The Steering Group require a Project Leader to advance the initiative through the next crucial stages of its development.
The Project Leader will be required to prepare funding applications. negotiate site purchase. set up a charitable trust. and develop operational structures for the venue. The successful applicant will have experience in fund-raising. particularly ERDF and Lottery funds. and have a broad understanding of venue development. A temporary researcher is required to carry out a four month investigation of the financial structures of Italian professional football (to include a period of time working in Italy) under the direction of Bert Moorhouse.
Applicants must be able to converse easily in Italian and to translate quickly written Italian into English. You also have a social science degree. some understanding of business and finance, and excellent word processing skills.
